Nutrition and Wellness/Diabetes Education

To be the Upper Penninsula's resource for current and accurate information and services related to nutrition and diabetes. 

Mission

We provide diet modifications for specific disease processes and healthy eating guidelines for all ages.  This includes appropriate nutrition to maintain health for individuals, the community and corporations.

Other available services include corporate wellness programs,
public speaking presentations, and a resource for community/support groups.

Our Team

Michael Parks, RN, BSN, CDE
Mike is a graduate of Finlandia University with a Bachelor of Science-Nursing. He is also certified as a diabetes educator. Other work experiences include Emergency Department, ICU, Cath Lab, was most recently the Inpatient Diabetes Educator at UPHS-Marquette and has been here since 2010. He enjoys his family, golf, hockey, hiking, skiing, boating, camping, hunting and fishing. Currently, Mike is the department director.
