The Marquette General Hospital volunteers -- an organization of more than 500 men and women who share a common goal: support and service to the patients, staff and guests of our hospital.

Our members are involved in the following services which continue to benefit those who need our help:

HOSPITAL SERVICE - helping with the needs of patients, family members and hospital visitors, including information and operating room waiting lounge.

GIFT SHOP - Three hour shifts under a Gift Shop manager.

FUND-RAISING - Special projects provide extras for needs on patient floors. The Holiday Nut Sale is an example of one of our fund-raisers.

SPECIAL SERVICES - Tray favors, heart and breast pillows, baby caps, Health Information Center and Lifeline Service are just a few.

These are just a few items the hospital volunteers have purchased in the last few years: Cassette players, tapes, entertainment videos, wigs, recliners, stuffed animals, blanket warmers, lifelines, wheelchairs, TV/VCR's, Telemedicine Services, portable suction machines, guest chairs, schwinn airdyne, pediatric telemedicine visits,shower chairs, recumbent cycle, and portable pulse oximeters.
