A fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Mattson is an Ishpeming native. After completing urology training at Mayo Clinic, Dr. Mattson returned to the area and has been dedicated to treating Upper Peninsula patients since the early 1980s.

This vast experience has led to a through understanding of his patients and their needs.

He and his wife, Nance, also a U.P. native, have 3 sons, one daughter and one grandson. Dr. Mattson enjoys typical U.P. activities including: hunting, fishing and saunas.

* Extracoporeal shock wave lithotripsy
