AGES is a seven week paid summer internship placement
throughout U.P. nursing homes.
The program encompasses all 15 Upper Peninsula Counties,
and last year over
40 U.P. high school juniors and seniors took part...
and experienced the time of their lives!
UPHEC started the AGES program in 2006 with 7 high school students trained and placed at 3 UP nursing homes and long term care sites.
This number has grown and in our 2009 record year, 42 students were trained and placed at 14 sites around the region.
Over the past 4 years, a total of 127 UP students have been part of the AGES experience! |
