
The Upper Peninsula Health Education Corporation (UPHEC) was formed in 1974 to coordinate the training of physicians in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. At Michigan State University's community-based medical school third and fourth year students train at one of six community campuses: Lansing, Flint, Saginaw, Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo and Marquette.


Marquette Family Medicine Residency Program
Our residency is a community based, university affiliated, unopposed program based at a 352-bed regional medical center, serving 350,000 out- and 12,000 inpatients per year.
MGHS has trained residents and medical students for more than 25 years. Along with the MSU-CHM students, MGHS currently sponsors allopathic and osteopathic programs.
