Teleradiology
Teleradiology
uses computer networking to connect regional hospitals with radiologists.
Images such as CT and MRI can be sent by computer link for rapid
viewing in critical and emergent situations. The teleradiology
network is connected to the radiologists' homes so no time is lost
in viewing images on weekends or during the night.
