Ms. Niemi joined the Telehealth and Grant Administration office in September 2000, where she holds responsibilities for grant finance administration and reporting. Ms. Niemi has been employed at Marquette General Health System since June 1978. Her extensive work history includes serving as a unit clerk on the Medical Floor, department secretary for the Specialty Clinic, and department secretary for the Operating Room Department with cross training as OR scheduler.

Ms. Niemi graduated from Northern Michigan University in 1980 with an Associate Degree as a Medical Secretary and became a Certified Health Unit Coordinator in 1990. She maintains her expertise by attending continuing education conferences and has completed the DDI Service Plus course. She serves as model employee for MGHS having been designated as Employee of the Month (June 1987) and receiving numerous PRIDE Salutes for exceptional service.
