Deb Reed-Fowler Telehealth Network Specialist Marquette General Health System
Deb functions as network support staff member for the Upper Peninsula Telehealth Network (UPTN) based at Marquette General Hospital.
Her responsibilities include telehealth applications coordination, new site setup and training, scheduling, and troubleshooting.
Ms. Reed-Fowler operates and maintains the UPTN ISDN and IP sites, as well as the Accord MGC-100 Multipoint Conferencing Unit, based at MGH. Other responsibilities include provision of consultative advice in equipment and connectivity issues to rural health care providers, and assisting with interactive videoconferencing events. She also organizes departmental statistics to track the utilization of Upper Peninsula Telehealth Network connections.
Ms. Reed-Fowler received her Associates Degree in Computer Information Systems from Northern Michigan University and has been an employee of Marquette General Health System since 1982. During her tenure at MGHS, Ms. Reed-Fowler has held a variety of positions including unit coordinator and clerk for the Adolescent Substance Abuse Treatment Unit, and secretary in the community relations & marketing department. She was employed in the education department as the conference coordinator before joining the telehealth staff.
