Upper Peninsula Healthcare Audio Visual Consortium (UPMAC)
UPMAC has been in existence since the mid 1980’s. Originally named, Upper Peninsula Medical Audio Visual Consortium, thus the acronym UPMAC, this education consortium has a long history of collaboration and partnerships.
The purpose of UPMAC is the selection and policy making in the provision of a library of audio visual materials for healthcare educational programs in the Upper Peninsula. It also provides a forum for sharing of material, information, policies and experiences amongst its members.

UPMAC holds meetings on a quarterly basis. Meetings can be attended on the Marquette General Hospital campus or through videoconferencing.
In 2009, UPMAC reorganized and voted in a formal board. Bylaws were reviewed, updated and approved. Board officers serve a two year term that begins and ends in June.
UPMAC dues are collected at the beginning of each calendar year. In 2010, dues were waived related to securing grant dollars. The fee structure is discussed and approved at UPMAC meetings. Monies collected from dues are used to update and acquire new holdings.
