About Us -

What is a Respiratory Therapist?

RT’s specialize in diagnosing and treating disorders of the lungs. From treating patients with asthma and chronic lung disease to caring for ventilator patients in the critical care setting, RT’s are found through out the hospital. RT’s care for the smallest, fragile preemies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the most critically ill adults in the ICU who require the help of mechanical ventilators to sustain life. RT’s also perform diagnostic testing in the Pulmonary Function Lab and the Sleep Lab.
