At Upper Peninsula Orthotic and Prosthetic (UPOP), we’re aware of the challenges our clients face, and our mission is to enable them to live a life without limitations. It’s our goal to help people find orthoses or prostheses that imitate the function of the body as closely as possible.

Orthotic & Prosthetic Services

An orthosis is any device used to strengthen, increase the function or enhance the ability of a body part. An orthosis can be applied anywhere on the body, and could be as simple as a shoe insert or as complex as a brace for scoliosis.

A prosthesis is an artificial replacement for a missing body part. A prosthesis can substitute both upper and lower extremities. The need for a prosthesis can arise due to birth defects, trauma or disease. Each prosthesis is custom made to fit the client.
