Internal Medicine is the specialty of medicine that provides adult primary care, including diseases of the heart and circulatory system, hypertension, gastrointestinal, respiratory, kidney, arthritic and endocrine disorders such as diabetes. It does not involve the treatment of these diseases in young children.
