Hospitalist joins Marquette General Health System
Hospitalist Dr. Adnan Zahid has joined the medical staff of Marquette General Health System. As a hospitalist, Dr. Zahid coordinates and provides in-hospital care for patients at Marquette General Hospital.

Marquette General has a significant number of patients who do not have a local physician. The hospitalists frequently manage the overall coordination of these patients’ care, and order consultations with other specialists as needed.
Even though the patient’s regular doctor may also see them in the hospital, Dr. Zahid may work with the primary care provider in ordering medications and tests, and following progress on a day-to-day basis.
Board certified in Family Practice and board eligible in Internal Medicine, Dr Zahid completed his family medicine residency at Marquette General Family Medicine Residency from Marquette Family Practice. He then went on to do Internal Medicine at Saint Mary’s Hospital Yale School of Medicine in Connecticut.
Dr. Zahid manages the care of in-hospital patients and does not see patients on an outpatient basis.
