Infectious disease specialist, wound care nurse
to offer monthly clinics in Escanaba

Dr. John Wallace, an infectious disease and internal medicine specialist on staff at Marquette General Hospital, and Stephanie Bixler, a Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner (CANP), Certified Wound Care Nurse and Wound Care Specialist, will soon staff a monthly satellite clinic in Escanaba.

Beginning Thursday, June 23, Dr. Wallace and Bixler will begin seeing patients in Suite 100 at Doctors Park/Marquette Medical Clinic in Escanaba. Dr. Wallace is a member of Infectious Disease Specialists, while Bixler works at the outpatient Wound Care Clinic in the same office.
Board-certified in infectious diseases and internal medicine, Dr. Wallace performed a fellowship in infectious diseases at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He completed his residency in internal medicine and internship in categorical medicine at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. He earned his medical degree from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine.

This past spring, Dr. Wallace was selected as the Physician of the Year, The Nurses’ Choice, at Marquette General. He was one of 20 Marquette General physicians nominated.

To make appointments with either Dr. Wallace or Bixler, patients are asked to obtain referrals from their family physicians. All Escanaba appointments will be coordinated through the main office in Marquette.
