Health Conference
Marquette
General Hospital, in collaboration with the Marquette County
Health Department, will serve as host
for a “Women in Touch” Women’s
Health Conference on Saturday, Oct. 9.
The conference is designed for nurses and other healthcare providers
who participate in women’s health, as well as women interested
in personal health information. During the conference, information
on cancer, breast and cervical cancer treatment,
diabetes, imaging, health maintenance, massage therapy and spirituality are
some of the topics that will be covered.
A number of speakers will present at the conference, which runs from 8:30 a.m.
to 3:45 p.m. Garee Zellmer will deliver the keynote address, “Supporting
the Person with Major Life-Changing Diagnosis.” Zellmer is a professional
Life Coach, workshop leader and group facilitator from Marquette.
The conference fee is $20, which includes continental breakfast, refreshments,
a luncheon and conference handouts. Pre-registration is required.
Unit Coordinator, Nursing and Physician Continuing Education credits will be
offered.
The Marquette General Health System Conference Center is located in the East
Building, also known as the 1984 Building. Participants are asked to enter
the hospital through the East Entrance canopy, take the elevator to the third
floor and then turn right.
