Monthly support group for bariatric surgery patients Tuesday, February 17
Videoconferencing available in Escanaba, Iron River, Ironwood and Sault Ste. Marie
The Marquette General Bariatric Support Group will be held Tuesday, February 17, from 5:45 – 6:45 p.m., at the Marquette General Hospital Conference Center. Karen Parent, LPN, will be doing the February presentation titled “Match Game Vitamins and Minerals”.
The support group is primarily for those who have had bariatric surgery, including those who have had surgery at other centers. In addition, those considering bariatric surgery are welcome to attend. The group meets the third Tuesday of every month.
To reach the Marquette General Conference Center, park in Lot A on the corner of College Avenue and Hebard Court, enter the hospital through the East Entrance, take the elevator to the third floor and exit to the right. For those using the parking deck, take the skywalk across College Avenue, turn left in the corridor and follow signs to the Conference Center.
Interested individuals who live a distance from Marquette may be able to join the support group via video conferencing. Video conferencing is available at MGH Behavorial Health in Escanaba, at Iron County Community Hospital in Iron River, at Grandview Health System in Ironwood, and at War Memorial Hospital in Sault Ste Marie.
