Truck Safety, and Community Foundation for Delta County
sponsoring Truck Safety Conference
Marquette General Health System, the Michigan
Center for Truck Safety and the Community Foundation for Delta
County, are sponsoring a Truck Safety Conference. The event is
slated for Wednesday, April 26, at the Chip In Island Resort and
Casino in Escanaba.
The Truck Safety Conference, entitled “Enforcement
and Safety Issues for Commercial Vehicles,” will be held
from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. It is geared for commercial drivers,
school bus personnel, company safety professionals, trucking company
officials, and managers or supervisors who own and/or operate
motor vehicles in their businesses.
Conference participants will receive the Truck
Driver's Guidebook containing regulations with which Michigan
drivers must comply.
A number of breakout sessions — Hours of
Service; Drug and Alcohol Testing and Substance Abuse Professional
services; Special Needs Customers; Bus Safety; Insurance Issues;
SafeStat Program, and General Regulations — will highlight
the conference.
A $25 registration fee includes refreshment breaks,
