Marquette General Cancer Center hosting “Living with Cancer” group
The Marquette General Cancer Center will be hosting a “Living with Cancer” group on Wednesday, December 3, at 4:30 p.m. in the Lombardi Room at Marquette General Hospital, located on the ground floor near the cafeteria.
Cancer can be one of the most stressful experiences of someone’s life. The “Living with Cancer” group can help many people cope with the emotional aspects of cancer by providing a place to share experiences and learn from others who are facing similar situations. Cancer patients, along with their families, friends and caregivers are invited to take part in this group, which will focus on the challenges of living with cancer. The group will also discuss potential topics for upcoming meetings.
The group will be facilitated by Eleanor Dougherty, a behavioral health therapist, who has led a similar group in Escanaba for many years.
