Imaging employees help make youth's holiday memorable!
Thanks to the
generosity of several Marquette General Health System employees,
Robert
Johnson of Newberry left MGH in mid-December
with his arms full of holiday gifts.
A 13-year-old
Newberry youth, recuperating at Marquette General from a broken
arm, Johnson
captured the hearts of several employees in Imaging/Special
Procedures
who
desperately wanted his holiday to be memorable. So, they
took up a collection, gathered $500 and purchased a snowboard
package
that
the teen-ager will likely enjoy for years to come. They obtained
a special purchase price on a snowboard from Downwind Sports
in Marquette, and bought gloves and boots to accompany it.
They also
provided Robert a $200 gift certificate to Kohl’s to pick
out items of his choice. “He had been through so much, and
it really hit our hearts,” said James Carne, an LPN in
Imaging.
