Marquette emergency medicine specialist earns board certification
Jeff Shipkey, DO, a member of Emergency Medicine Associates of Marquette, has become board certified in Emergency Medicine. Board certification is achieved after passing a rigorous series of written and oral examinations by peers in a given specialty.

Dr. Shipkey specializes in the treatment for all trauma, and any life or limb-threatening situations, as well as medical problems of an urgent nature. Emergency medicine specialists stabilize critically ill or injured patients and determine what subspecialty care is needed.
Dr. Shipkey completed his emergency medicine residency and internship through Michigan State University at Garden City Campus. He received his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, and holds an undergraduate degree from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York.
