Marquette General to screen Halloween candy
Marquette General Hospital’s Imaging Services Department is offering its annual free screening of Halloween candy from 5 to 8 p.m. on Halloween night (Friday, October 31).
The Imaging Department uses fluoroscopy to check for foreign objects in treats. This screening does not reveal glass, and does not detect tampering on wrappers. Parents should check their children’s Halloween candy for signs of tampering, and discard anything they find questionable.
Enter the hospital using the East entrance, which resembles a sunroom, on College Avenue. To reach Imaging Services, follow the corridor to elevators G & H, and exit on the first floor.
For more information about the candy screening, call the Marquette General Imaging Department at (906) 225-3540 or (800) 562-9753, ext. 3540.
