MGH Family Medicine Residency Program welcomes
7 new residents, including Marquette and Houghton natives

The Family Medicine Residency Program, a service of Marquette General Health System, has selected seven new residents for entry into the three-year residency program.

The program's purpose is to train family medicine physicians to become competent in practicing medicine in a rural setting, such as the Upper Peninsula.

Each year, new residents are selected for admission into the program. Residents are selected based on certain requirements, such as dedication to family medicine and primary care, the desire to treat a wide variety of patients, emphasis in promoting preventative care and a desire to practice rural medicine.
