Online registration, prep
sheets available for patients of Marquette General
Prep instructions for More than 130 procedures listed on website
Patients scheduled for services at Marquette General
Hospital are now able to use the hospital’s website at www.mgh.org
to pre-register
online, and obtain instructions on how to prepare for their
procedures.
Using a secure site located under the “patient information”
link of the hospital’s website, patients can enter their
current information including address, phone number, and insurance
information prior to arrival at the hospital. The patient access department
transfers the information into the hospital’s computer system
prior to the patient’s arrival.
“Our goal is to make registration as convenient as possible
for our patients,” said Michele Moran, director of patient access
at Marquette General. “Online registration will save time
for patients when they arrive at the hospital, and they’re
likely to receive fewer pre-admission telephone calls from the
patient access department to verify their information.”
Patients are also able to use the website to locate preparation
requirements for more than 130 of the most commonly performed
procedures. By using the patient information menu, then “tests
and procedures,” patients and their loved ones can download
and print instructions ranging from an MRI of the head to colonoscopy.
The list of procedure prep sheets continues to grow, and patients
may find that their particular procedure may not yet be listed.
Questions about online registration can be directed to the Marquette
General patient access department at 906-225-3302 or 1-800-562-9753,
extension 3302.
For questions about the test and procedure instructions available
online, please call Shannon in the Marquette General patient access
department at 906-225-3113 or
1-800-562-9753, extension 3113.
