Conference October 9 at MGH
promotes culture of patient safety
A conference entitled “Promoting a Culture
of Safety: A Medical Error Conference” for health care professionals
will take place Monday, October 9 from 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
in the conference center at Marquette General Hospital.
Completion of this conference will assist healthcare team members
in improving patient safety in clinical settings, with topics
including the ten most error-prone nursing challenges in emergency
rooms; clinical, critical and creative thinking; and safety as
a foundation for mastery.
The keynote speaker is Theresa Posani, MS, RN, CNS, CCRN, a master’s
prepared critical care nurse with extensive experience and certification
in neonatal, pediatric and adult critical care. Her experience
ranges from critical care and med/surg nursing to nursing administration.
The conference fee of $85 includes refreshment breaks, lunch,
and seminar handouts.
Continuing education credits are available for completion of this
conference. Nurses qualify for 9.0 contact hours of continuing
education. Physicians receive a maximum of 7.5 credit hours in
Category 1 toward the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award.

from Parking Lot A and the East (Conference Center) Entrance at
