Internist joins Chippewa Medical Associates
Internist
Rozina Parveen, M.D., has joined Chippewa
Medical Associates in Sault Ste. Marie and is on staff
of Marquette General Health System and War Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Parveen comes to the Upper Peninsula from Brooklyn, N.Y.,
where she finished a residency in internal medicine at Interfaith
Medical
Center. She went to New York after working as the Senior Medical
Officer for the Mother and Child Care Center in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Prior to her work in Dhaka, Dr. Parveen completed an internship
at Chittagong Medical College and Hospital where she also received
her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in conjunction with the
University of Chittagong in Bangladesh.
Dr. Parveen is a volunteer in the Antihypertensive and Lipid-Lowering
Treatment to Prevent Heart Attack Trial (ALLHAT) study, nephrology
division, at the Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
She’s
also a certified instructor in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
