Cancer specialist joins Marquette
General Medical Staff
Medical Oncologist
and hematologist Dr. Suresh Nukala has joined U.P. Hematology/Oncology
Associates and the medical staff of Marquette General Health System.
Dr.
Suresh Nukala
Board certified in medical oncology, hematology, and internal
medicine, Dr. Nukala completed his hematology and medical oncology
fellowship and his internal medicine residency at Cook County
Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his internship and
earned his medical degree at Osmania General Hospital in India.
Dr. Nukala’s expertise in hematology and oncology complement
and enhance the comprehensive capabilities of the team at U.P.
Hematology/Oncology Associates. As a hematologist, Dr. Nukala
provides diagnosis and treatment of blood disorders, including
anemia, bleeding disorders, sickle cell disease, hemophilia, leukemia
and lymphoma, and low platelet counts.
As an oncologist, Dr. Nukala manages the medical component of
cancer treatment including chemotherapy and hormone therapy. He
also works closely with other specialists including surgeons,
pathologists, radiologists and radiation oncologists in planning
and administering the most appropriate therapies.
