13th Annual Neuroscience Forum: Dementia in the New Millenium:
Diagnostics, Treatment and Beyond
Marquette General Hospital will host the 13th
Annual Neuroscience Forum: “Dementia
in the New Millenium: Diagnostics, Treatment and Beyond”
on Friday, June 2.
The conference, scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the MGHS
Conference Center, will feature three physicians on staff at Marquette
General: Neurologist Dr.
Roman Politi, Radiologist Dr.
Steve Min and Psychiatrist Dr.
Kimberly Wallman.
Dr. Politi, who will serve as course moderator, will speak on;
“Alzheimer’s and Other Dementias: Diagnostics, Early
Intervention and Treatment”; Dr. Min will address “PET
for Diagnosis in Dementia”; and Dr. Wallman will discuss
“Behavior Management in the Patient with Dementia”.
Additional topics include Maintaining Function in Patient with
Dementia, Use of Telemedicine in Chronic Disease Management, and
a panel discussion on the Importance of Team Approach with Dementia
Patients.
The conference is designed for physicians, nurses, physician assistants,
nurse practitioners and other healthcare professionals caring
for patients with neurological disorders. CME credit is available.
The conference fee is $80, which includes registration, lunch,
refreshment breaks and handouts. Marquette General retirees and
students can attend for half price ($40). A non-CME pre-conference
evening program will be held at Upfront and Company on Thursday,
June 1 with dinner at 6:30 and the program at 7 pm. The pre-conference
dinner and lecture event is sponsored by Glaxo Smith Kline.

The Conference Center is located on College Avenue. Attendees
are asked to enter the hospital through the East Entrance canopy,
