MGHS
planning graduate reunion for babies born in the
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Attention
graduates of the Neonatal
Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Marquette General Health System!
A NICU graduate reunion is being planned for 1 to 4 p.m.
on Saturday, Oct. 29, at the Holiday Inn in Marquette.
Sponsored by the Women’s
& Children’s Center of Marquette General Health
System and the March of Dimes, the reunion will feature a Halloween
party for the kids. The entire family is invited for fun, games
and goodies. There is no charge.
Children’s Halloween costumes are encouraged, but are not
required.
The event is a wonderful opportunity for NICU graduates to meet
for a fun party and visit with the doctors, nurses and hospital
staff who cared for them and their families during their hospitalization.
The reunion is open to former NICU babies who were patients during
the last five years.
More than 1,000 Upper Peninsula babies in the last five years
have been cared for in the Regional NICU at the Women’s
& Children’s Center of MGHS. The Regional NICU serves
as a high-risk referral center for newborns across the Upper Peninsula.
It provides a Neonatal Emergency Transport Service with a highly
experienced team, including advanced trained NICU nurses and respiratory
therapists.
The NICU offers 24-hour coverage seven days a week to provide
the highest quality care for young, fragile and very special patients.
Two full-time neonatologists — physicians who specialize
in the care of newborns — are on staff.
To register for the event, call 1-800-562-9753, ext. 3081.
An RSVP is required by Friday, Oct. 21.
