First Upper Peninsula baby of 2010 born at Marquette General Hospital
Proud parents, Laine Knueppel and William Degarmo of Palmer, welcomed their son, Mason Degarmo, into the world at 1:25 a.m. on January 1.
Mason is the first Upper Peninsula baby of 2010. He weighed seven pounds, three and a half ounces, and is 18 inches long.
To help celebrate his arrival, Marquette General Family Birthing Center staff provided a gift basket to the family.
