Brookridge Heights under new ownership
Marquette General Health System has completed the sale of Brookridge Heights Assisted Living to Brookridge Marquette Real Estate, LLC. The owners of Brookridge Marquette Real Estate, LLC, include Capital Health Group, LLC, and SeniorCare Communities, Inc. Together they own and/or manage 30 assisted living facilities throughout the country, including one in Cadillac, Mich.
Under the new ownership, Brookridge Heights will receive major renovations, which include the addition of community rooms, décor, carpeting, paint, modest construction, and a 20-unit Alzheimer’s addition. The new owners will introduce their popular “Anytime Dining”, which will allow the residents to eat “restaurant style” with expanded menus and on their own schedule.
“The familiar faces at Brookridge Heights will remain – the staff has transitioned from employment by Marquette General Health System to employment by Senior Care Management, LLC,” said Dennis Boe, vice president of Support Services at MGHS.
The new owners and their management company, Senior Care Management, LLC, will be working closely with MGHS to ensure the residents of a continuation of the warm and welcoming environment along with providing the residents with the best care possible, including an on-staff nurse. The new manager’s philosophy is that “happier and healthier seniors lead long and prosperous lives.” The new manager’s number one priority is to train staff to provide great care in a way that the residents experience joy daily.
Brookridge Heights is designed to encourage social interaction, along with physical and mental stimulation. For residents, the facility offers as much independence as possible. The residents share community areas with one another but have apartments or rooms that they can retreat to when they feel the need to be alone. The new owners and manager are dedicated to building the facility into a “community”, where residents and their families, and staff interact and are committed to each other’s well being and friendships are made and laughter is shared.
