Men’s Health Conference scheduled
for Feb. 10
Marquette
General Health System will sponsor the 2007 Men’s Health
Conference from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 10
at Marquette General Hospital’s Conference Center.
There are gender-based differences that are important to maximizing
men’s health. Successful diagnosis and treatment of the
diseases and disorders that affect men are dependent on prevention
and early detection. Learn how to live a healthier lifestyle.
Find out what signs and symptoms could be important in early detection.
A diverse group of health care experts will present on insomnia,
snoring, restless leg syndrome and other sleep troubles; heart
disease; common digestive disorders and colon cancer; joint disease
and other musculoskeletal issues; and depression and anger.
Conference speakers include: MGH Neurologist, Dr. Roman Politi;
Marquette General Digestive Disease Specialist, Dr. James Surrell;
Marquette General Health Psychologist, Dr. Gregg Jones and Nurse
Practitioner, Rod Riesland.
This conference is designed for those who care for and about men,
including the men themselves. Interested participants must pre-register.
A $20 registration fee includes lunch, refreshments, and handouts.
