MGH neurosurgeon to offer public lecture on stroke and degenerative spine disease


Dr. Craig Coccia, a board certified neurosurgeon on staff at Marquette General Hospital, will present a public lecture on stroke and degenerative spine disease.

The lecture is scheduled for noon on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at the Tailwinds Bar and Grill, located at 800 East M-94 in Sawyer. During the presentation, Dr. Coccia will discuss: the signs and symptoms of stroke; how to reduce the risks of stroke; treatment modalities for stroke; and what can be done about degenerative spine disease.

Dr. Coccia is a member of Northern Neurosurgery Group, PC, at Marquette General Hospital. Northern Neurosurgery Group, PC, provides services throughout the U.P. in Escanaba, Iron Mountain and Sault St. Marie.

Dr. Coccia earned his medical degree and undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan.
