Marquette cardiologist addressing heart disease in women
at next MGHS Physician Public Lecture
In observance
of American Heart Month, cardiologist Dr. Gail Brayden of Marquette
General Health System will present
at the February Physician Public Lecture.

Dr.
Brayden’s presentation is entitled, “Heart Disease
in Women: What You Can Do to Avoid It.” The lecture
is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, in Conference Room
1 at Marquette General.
In her presentation, Dr. Brayden will discuss how heart disease symptoms for
females differ from males. She will also discuss the risk factors for coronary
artery disease in women, and steps women can take to help reduce those risks.
Board certified in cardiology and internal medicine, Dr. Brayden is employed
by Upper Michigan Cardiovascular Associates, PC, in the Peninsula Medical Center. |
She completed
a residency in internal medicine at Riverside Methodist Hospital
in Columbus, Ohio. She performed fellowships in cardiology at the University
of Wisconsin Hospitals in Madison, Wis., at the University of Iowa Hospitals
in Iowa City, Iowa.
She earned a medical degree from Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.
The MGH Conference Center can be accessed from the East Entrance on College

third-floor Skywalk to the South Campus, and follow the signs to the Conference
Center.
