Dr. Lea Bonifacio joins Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Neonatologist
Dr. Lea Bonifacio has joined fellow Neonatologist Dr. Julia Frei
in the Neonatal Intensive
Care Unit (NICU) and is on staff at Marquette General Health
System.

Lea Bonifacio
Dr. Bonifacio provides diagnosis and treatment of newborn infants.
She deals with problems such as prematurity, respiratory distress
syndrome, infection or sepsis, and infants with congenital anomalies.
Neonatologists are physicians who specialize in the care of critically
ill infants and are trained to treat a wide variety of health
problems. Neonatologists provide care for newborns with serious
illnesses, injuries and/or birth defects.
Board eligible in neonatology and board certified in pediatrics,
Dr. Bonifacio completed her neonatology fellowship at Robert Wood
Johnson University Hospital/Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s
Hospital in New Brunswick, N.J. She performed a pediatrics residency
at the Jersey City Medical Center in New Jersey.
She earned her medical degree from the University of the City
of Manila, Manila, Philippines.
