Kohl’s Cares for Kids ®
The Women’s
and Children’s Center at Marquette General Health System
is the recipient of funding in the amount of $19,726 from the
Kohl’s Cares for Kids® Program. At
a ceremony held during a Safe and Healthy Families fair at Westwood
Mall, Kohl’s associates from the Marquette area presented
a check to the Marquette General Health System Women’s
and Children’s Center.
Kohl’s supports the program through the sale of selected
store items (books and plush toys) four times per year, with 100
percent of the program’s net sales profits being donated
to community outreach programs for children.Since 2003, when its
Marquette store opened, Kohl’s has donated more than $50,000
to the Women’s and Children’s Center. The financial
support from Kohl’s will fund programs that will help raise
public awareness and provide families with information about health,
safety, and injury prevention issues concerning families today.
