Kohl’s supports the program through the sale of selected store items (books and plush toys) four times per year, with 100 percent of the program’s net sales profits being donated to community outreach programs for children. The sale of Kohl’s Cares for Kids® merchandise in Kohl’s stores across the country benefits 154 hospitals to support programs and initiatives that better the lives of children in Kohl’s communities and beyond. The Women’s and Children’s Center uses the donated funds for a “Safe and Healthy Family Programs” throughout the year including a pedestrian safety program in schools across the U.P., a ski and snowboard helmet safety program, car seat safety checks, and a variety of other approved initiatives targeted at health and safety for children and their families.
