Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist joins Marquette General Behavioral Health
Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist Steven Klamerus, MD, has joined Marquette General Behavioral Health and Superior Health Partners. He joins Dr. Carol Cappuccio, Dr. Carol Gamber, Dr. Terry Meden, Dr. Cameron Wilcox and Dr. Anthony Holzgang.
With more than 25 years of experience treating patients as an army physician, Dr. Klamerus comes to Marquette upon retiring after 30 years of military service, most recently as Chief of Behavioral Health at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital in Fort Campbell, Ky.

Psychiatrist Steven Klamerus, MD
As a psychiatrist, Dr. Klamerus specializes in child and adolescent psychiatry, as well as general psychiatry. He provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management and treatment services to reduce or alleviate the symptoms that mental health disorders present.
Board certified in psychiatry and preventative medicine, Dr. Klamerus completed his fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. He completed his residency in preventative medicine and public health at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Wash.; and completed his psychiatry residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. He completed his internship in pediatrics at Southwest Michigan Area Health Education Center, Kalamazoo; and earned his medical degree at the University of Michigan Medical School, Ann Arbor. He also earned his master’s of public health in health policy and administration at the University of Michigan - School of Public Health.
The addition of Dr. Klamerus is an example of how SHP is increasing access to quality care for Upper Peninsula patients.
