Dr.
Shmaila Ishaq, a board-certified internal medicine specialist,
has joined Chippewa
Medical Associates in Sault Ste. Marie and is on staff at Marquette General Health
System and War Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Ishaq completed her residency and internship at the State
University of New York Health Science Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
She earned her medical degree
from the Fatima Jinnah Medical College at the University of Punjab in Lahore,
Pakistan.
Internal medicine is the specialty of medicine that deals with diseases of
the heart and circulatory system, including hypertension, gastrointestinal,
respiratory, kidney, arthritic and endocrine disorders, such as diabetes.
