New Medical Director of Cancer Center at Marquette General

We are extremely pleased to announce the arrival of Dr. Jorge Frank, medical oncologist and hematologist to the medical staff of Marquette General Health System. Dr. Frank will serve as Medical Director of the Marquette General Cancer Center and will be working out of the Marquette office of U.P. Hematology/Oncology Associates.

In his role of Medical Director for the Cancer Center at Marquette General, Dr. Frank will work with physicians to enhance processes for the provision of cancer services throughout Upper Peninsula. Dr. Frank has been a medical oncologist for 30 years and has provided diagnosis and treatment for cancer patients in private and academic settings across the nation.

Dr. Frank is an advocate of streamlining clinical work to enhance patient care. He will be actively involved in the implementation of electronic medical records for oncology patients. Dr. Frank fosters relationships with each of his patients, improving the effectiveness and quality of cancer care.

Board Certified in Medical Oncology, Dr. Frank completed a Bone Marrow Transplantation fellowship at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina and pursued specialty training in Medical Oncology at Strong Memorial Hospital, University of Rochester in New York. He completed an Internal Medicine Residency at the New Jersey College of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark, New Jersey, and an Internal Medicine Residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Dr. Frank received his medical degree at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in San Juan, Puerto Rice.
