Retired physician Dr. Wallace Pearson Sr., right,
recently donated a picture to the Family Birthing Center at Marquette
General Hospital.

Dr. Pearson retired as an obstetrician in 1986
after delivering nearly 3,000 babies; he continued to work for
another six years in the practices of infertility and gynecology,
including gynecological surgery.
Dr. Pearson was an Air Force physician at the
former K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base before beginning his practice
in Marquette in 1963. Pictured with Pearson is Cindy Ampe, nurse
manager of the Family Birthing Center. (MGH photo)
