Emergency Medicine Physician Joins MGH

Dr. Kevin Aston has joined the medical staff and Level II Trauma Center team of Marquette General Hospital, and Emergency Medicine Associates of Marquette. Dr. Aston comes to Marquette from Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

He joins James Addison, MD; Robin Cook, MD; Scott Emerson, MD; Scott Hagle, MD; Donald Snowdon, MD; Richard Tomacari, DO and Steven Verbridge, DO at Emergency Medicine Associates of Marquette.
As an emergency medicine specialist Dr. Aston provides treatment for all trauma,
and any life or limb-threatening situations, as well as medical problems of an
urgent nature. Emergency specialists stabilize critically ill or injured patients and
determine what subspecialty care is needed. Emergency physicians are also
responsible for pre-hospital care including the supervision of paramedics and
emergency medical technicians (EMTs) before the patient reaches the hospital.
During his last military appointment in Ramadi, Iraq, Dr. Aston provided basic medical
care and front-line trauma care while assigned as a battalion surgeon. Using what he
could carry while traveling with the infantry, he provided care for the soldiers,
including trauma care for gunshot wounds and IED injuries.
Board certified in emergency medicine, Dr. Aston completed his emergency medicine
residency at Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital, Pontiac, Michigan. He earned his medical
degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, Chicago, Illinois.
