hosting Eating Disorders Conference
Marquette
General Health System and Forest View Hospital, Grand Rapids,
will serve as hosts for “Eating Disorders, A Multidisciplinary
Examination: Diet, Psychological Trauma, Metabolic Implications”
on Friday, May 12, 2006.
The conference is designed for professionals involved in patient
care.
During the
conference, information on diagnosis and treatment techniques
for eating disorders will be covered.
A number of speakers will present at the conference, which runs
from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 pm including Douglas Neal Henry, MD, Pediatric
Endocrinologist from Sparrow Hospital in Lansing and noted author
Colin A. Ross, MD, Executive Medical Director of the Psychiatric
Trauma Program at Forest View Hospital in Grand Rapids.
The conference fee is $60, which includes continental breakfast,
refreshments, a luncheon and conference handouts. Pre-registration
is required.
Nursing and Physician Continuing Education credits will be offered.
The Marquette General Health System Conference Center is located
in the East Building, also known as the 1984 Building. Participants
are asked to enter the hospital through the East Entrance canopy,
take the elevator to the third floor and then turn right.
