Neurologist joins Neurology Associates of Marquette
Dr. Dinsmore will work out of Portage Internal Medicine Associates
at Portage Health System
Neurologist Dr. Christian Dinsmore
has joined Neurology Associates of Marquette, a service of
Marquette General
Health System, and will work out of Portage Internal Medicine
Associates at Portage Health System in Hancock. He will offer
clinics at a number of community hospitals, including Keweenaw
Memorial Medical Center, Grand View Health System and Baraga
County Memorial Hospital.

Christian Dinsmore
He ison staff of Marquette General Health System and Portage
Health System, and practices full time in the Copper Country.
He and his wife, Dr. Kimberly Dovin, a family practice physician,
have come to the Upper Peninsula from Seattle.
During his neurology residency in Seattle, Dr. Dinsmore worked
at several healthcare institutions: The Harborview Medical Center;
the University of Washington Medical Center; the Puget Sound
Veterans Affairs Health Care System; and the Children's Hospital
and Regional Medical Center.
Board eligible in neurology, Dr. Dinsmore earned his medical
degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine where
he also completed an internship in the Department of Medicine.
He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon.
A neurologist provides diagnosis and treatment for disorders
of the nervous system: the brain, spinal cord and nerves. Conditions
treated by a neurologist include muscle disorders, pain, epilepsy,
neuritis, brain and spinal cord tumors, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s
disease, stroke, myasthenia gravis and muscular dystrophy.
Dr. Dinsmore, a member of the American Academy of Neurology,
accepts patients by referral from other physicians. Please see
