Friends of Dialysis Open House
On Sunday, January 18, the Marquette General Foundation and Hemodialysis Unit at Marquette General Hospital hosted a "Friends of Dialysis" open house.
The event was the Health System's way of saying thank you to all those in the region who helped support an initiative to raise more than $65,000 to purchase five new Hemodialysis machines.
Guests were treated to food and refreshments, a short program and an opportunity to tour the unit. Below, Jim LaJoie, manager of Planned Giving and Major Gifts for the Marquette General Foundation, unveils a plaque of appreciation, recognizing the many donors and supporters of the "Friends of Dialysis" initiative.
The "Friends of Dialysis" fund-raising initiative is now turning its attention to raising $30,000 to help purchase 15 new recliners for patient use in the unit. Thus far, more than $8,000 has been raised.
