Curves in Marquette to offer 1 month free membership to those who donate at MGH blood drive July 22

The U.P. Regional Blood Center, a service of Marquette General Health System, will hold a Blood Mobile Blood Drive from 3:30-5:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 22 at Curves in Marquette.

Curves will offer a 1-month free membership, with service fee waved, for all those who donate blood.

Curves is located at 1500 West Washington St. in Marquette. Anyone who’s at least 17 years old, in good health and weighs more than 110 pounds can donate.

Donations usually take a half hour. A technician checks the donor’s blood pressure, pulse, temperature and hemoglobin levels to ensure safety to the donor and blood recipient. After the brief medical screening, the donor lays back and relaxes while a machine does the work. For more information on blood donation, please call Diane O'Boyle at

(906) 228-2878.
