Healthy Cooking Class offered April 8

Marquette General Registered Dietitian Kim Hantz, will present a Healthy Cooking Class on Tuesday, April 8, from 6 – 8 p.m., at Marquette Senior High School in room 126.

The topic for this month’s class is titled “Think ‘Outside the Box’ when it comes to protein with Tasty Recipes”. This class will give you guidance on selection, preparation and cooking techniques to add spice, variety and pleasure back into your meal times.

The class is specifically tailored for persons who have had bariatric surgery but is open to everyone. The class costs $35 and will include fun education, foolproof recipes and feature natural and organic ingredients. Participants will create several recipes to sample.

Pre-registration is required and payment should be made to Marquette Community Schools, 1201 W. Fair Ave., Marquette, Mich. To register, please call (906) 225-5290. Class size is limited, so register early.
