BREAST IMAGING CONFERENCE scheduled for Friday, May 25

Marquette General Health System will sponsor the Breast Imaging Conference from 1:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, May 25, at Marquette General Hospital’s Conference Center. This conference is designed for radiographers, mammographers, sonographers and physicians who want to learn about the latest developments in breast cancer diagnosis and treatment.

The conference will present information on digital mammography technology, diagnostic testing to quantify the likelihood of breast cancer reoccurrence, rapid evaluation of cytology and surgical specimens, staging treatment options in breast cancer and the role of ultrasound in breast cancer diagnosis.

Conference speakers include: MGH Radiologist, Dr. Heidi Henry, MGH Pathologist, Dr. John Weiss, Kirk Parent, MSA, MGH Medical Dosimetrist, Brian Fretchel, GE Womens Health Care Specialist,Thomas Aufdemberge, MS, Radiological Physicist for Medical Physics Consultants and Patrick Hall, D.Ph., Genomic Science Liason for Genomic Health, Inc.

A $75 registration fee includes refreshments, dinner and materials. Pre-registration is required. Continuing education credit is available for physicians and radiographers.
