Endocrinologist joins the medical staff of Marquette General Health System

Endocrinologist Dr. Muhammad Choudhry has joined the medical staff of Marquette General Health System. Dr. Choudhry joins Dr. Michael Cardoni in the Upper Peninsula Medical Center.

As an endocrinologist, Dr. Choudhry diagnoses and treats diseases that affect the glandular system, which produces hormones to regulate the body. Endocrinologists diagnose and treat hormone problems by helping to restore the normal balance of hormones in your system.

Dr. Choudhry treats many conditions, including thyroid diseases and disorders such as hypo- and hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodules and cancer, metabolic disorders, over-or under-production of hormones, osteoporosis, hypertension, cholesterol disorders, diabetes mellitus, hypoglycemia, adrenal disorders such as Cushing’s syndrome and adrenal insufficiency, endocrine hypertension, obesity and cancers of the endocrine glands. Dr. Choudhry also has expertise in fine needle biopsies of thyroid nodules and administration of radioactive iodine for diagnosis and treatment of hyperthyroidism and thyroid cancer.

Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Choudhry completed his endocrinology fellowship and his internal medicine residency at the Joan C. Edward School of Medicine, Marshall University, Huntington, West Virginia. He earned his medical degree at King Edward Medical College, Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan.
