Free child safety seat inspection occurring Friday
A
free child safety seat inspection will be offered from 3 to 6
p.m. on Friday, May 21, at Lakeview Arena
in Marquette.
The event is sponsored by Marquette County SAFE KIDS Chapter,
The Michigan Department of Community Health, and the Women’s & Children’s
Center at Marquette General Health System.
Child Passenger
Safety Technicians will be on hand to check out your child’s car seat and make sure that
it’s installed correctly or to determine if your 4-8 year-old child needs
a booster seat.
Statistics show that four of out five car seats are used incorrectly, and
most children 4-8 years old need a booster set to help the adult seat belt
fit properly.
