CANCER UPDATE: Advancements in Patient Care scheduled for Friday, April 27

Marquette General Health System will sponsor the CANCER UPDATE: Advancements in Patient Carefrom 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 27, at Marquette General Hospital’s Conference Center. This conference is intended for cancer care professionals.

Specific issues include: interventional techniques utilized for different types of cancer pain, advances in the treatment of non small cell lung cancer, advances in the treatment of breast cancer, assessing the neutropenic patient, integrating psych-oncology services such as behavioral medicine, psychology, psychiatry, nursing, social work, and pastoral care.

Health care experts in oncology and health psychology from Marquette General Health System, Karmanos Cancer Center, Detroit, and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas will present.

A $60 registration fee includes continental breakfast, refreshments, lunch and materials. Pre-registration is required. Continuing education credit is available for nurses and physicians.
